At long last, the first trailer for The Mandalorian has arrived. Creator, writer, and director Jon Favreau was most definitely not screwing around when he said the series explores the "darker, freakier" side of the Star Wars universe. I mean, you don't hire Werner Herzog if you're not looking to get dark and freaky. Also, this thing just looks incredible:
There's something delightfully spine-tingling about hearing Herzog's voiceover in that – "Bounty hunting is a complicated profession... don't you agree?"
The series, which is set after the fall of the Empire and prior to the emergence of the First Order, stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, and Omid Abtahi. The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ when the platform goes live on November 12th.
