Last week the marketing rapscallions behind Kingsman: The Golden Circle did something next-level obnoxious: they released a 15-second teaser containing shots that were in some cases one frame long.
And friends, you know I went through that thing a frame at a time like Kevin Costner in JFK.
“The Golden Circle is a brand!”
"I think that was Roxy!"
“On Her Majesty’s Secret Service-ish!”
Then they did it again today! I mean, sure, it was a kind of novel way to spoil some moments of a trailer a day before releasing it, but I’ll be damned if the things didn’t get me excited. Anyway, here’s the actual trailer.
They’d pretty much have to digitally recreate my dead parents and kill them again onscreen for me to be against this movie, so I’m not exactly the most objective judge of this trailer. I do know most of those one-frame moments from last week aren't even in this trailer, and I definitely saw Mr. Pickles move in that first tease, so either we got flashbacks or we got some kind of Lazarus Pit in this thing. I'm not gonna spill the rest of the beans inside this trailer for you here; get into it in the comments. What do you guys think?
UPDATE: A red-band international trailer has arrived. It's pretty much the same as the one above, but this one contains a well-earned F-bomb.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle arrives on September 29, 2017.
