Spotlight tells the story of The Boston Globe’s “Spotlight” team of researching badasses as they cover the Massachusetts Catholic Church sex scandal, which you may have heard about. It boasts an amazing cast: Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Stanley Tucci, and Liev Schreiber, and comes out tomorrow. You’re probably going to see SPECTRE, but you should make time to see this as well.
Such grown-up dramas are not usually the kinds of films that get fun online contests, but Spotlight is different. We’re offering one lucky reader a poster for the film as well as a copy of Betrayal: The Crisis in the Catholic Church.
To enter this contest, all you have to do is send me an email ([email protected]) with the word “Spotlight” as the subject. In this email, please tell me your favorite film that revolves around some deep investigation. That might sound like a strange subcategory, but if you think about it, movies like this are almost always a blast.
I will pick a winner in two days. May the best man, woman, or child win.
